Allergens come from the recipe, not from a separate list

Every ingredient carries its allergens. When you build a recipe, gramo carries them up, including through sub-recipes. The label and the menu are generated from there.

Allergens go bold on their own, inside the ingredients list, which is where EU 1169 requires them to stand out.

Why it hurts

Allergen mistakes are almost never about not knowing them: it's that the list lives somewhere else. One ingredient gets swapped for another because the order didn't arrive, and the label and the menu stay as they were. Nobody does it on purpose, and that doesn't help if someone ends up in hospital.

How gramo solves it

They flow through sub-recipes on their own

If the béchamel has milk and gluten, so do the croquetas, and so does the dish the croquetas go into. You don't have to remember the chain, which is exactly where it breaks.

Change the ingredient, the label changes

Swap one product for another and the allergens recalculate in everything that uses it. Tomorrow's printed label comes out right without anyone checking.

Labels that meet EU 1169

Product name, ingredients list in order, allergens highlighted, batch and use-by date. What the regulation asks for, with the data you already have in.

Public menu by QR code

Your allergen menu with a link and a QR code for the table or the counter. It updates itself with your recipes, so the old laminated version doesn't keep going round.

Frequently asked questions

Does it cover the 14 allergens you must declare?
Yes, the 14 in Annex II of Regulation 1169/2011, set per ingredient and carried into every recipe that uses them.
Do I have to update the QR menu?
No. It comes from your recipes, so it changes when they do. The printed QR code always stays valid.
Can I print labels for packaged products?
Yes, with batch and use-by date, which is what you need to sell packaged products and to be able to recall them if it ever comes to that.
Can the labels be in Spanish and the app in English?
Yes. You use gramo in English, and the labels, the allergen menu and the inspection report come out in the language you choose for your business, which in Spain is normally Spanish.
